About the Summit

Set against the backdrop of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, the EU Hydrogen & Advanced Fuels Breakthrough Summit is a high-level regional platform convening decision-makers and market leaders to accelerate cooperation between the European Union, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and MENA regions.

Organised by the EU-GCC Cooperation on Green Transition Project, in close coordination with the Delegation of the European Union to the UAE, the Embassy of Germany in the UAE, and the MED-GEM Network, the summit is dedicated to advancing the development of cross-border hydrogen and sustainable fuels value chains.

With ambitious national strategies and complementary strengths, the EU, GCC and MENA regions are uniquely positioned to shape a resilient hydrogen economy. This event brings together public and private stakeholders to turn this shared potential into real-world partnerships, investments, and projects.

This high-level dialogue will gather senior representatives from governments, industries, and financial institutions across Europe, the GCC, and the Mediterranean.
