📢 About the Event
EU-Oman Energy & Water Collaboration Forum: Advancing Sustainability through Innovation & Investment
📅 20–21 May 2025 | 📍 Crowne Plaza Muscat, Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre
The EU-Oman Energy & Water Collaboration Forum is a flagship initiative uniting policymakers, industry experts, investors, and innovators to advance sustainable solutions in two of the most critical sectors—energy and water. Organized by the EU Delegation, NAMA Group, and the EU-GCC Cooperation on Green Transition Project, the forum will explore how policy, technology, and finance can collectively accelerate Oman’s green transition.
As part of its Vision 2040, Oman aims to generate 30% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and is emerging as a regional leader in green hydrogen, with large-scale projects attracting global interest. In parallel, water sustainability is a rising priority, especially in the context of increasing climate change effects. Desalination already supplies over 86% of Oman’s potable water, making innovation in water reuse, leak detection, and smart water infrastructure essential.
This two-day event provides a dynamic space for knowledge exchange, showcasing showcasing examples from Europe’s leading role in clean technology and sustainable infrastructure, and building meaningful partnerships to power a more resilient, low-carbon future for Oman and the region.
